Chara turns the other way

The "Captain" did absolutely nothing in response to the cheap shot on rookie David Krejci. This guy is an animal and has been very solid for a dissapointing Bruin's team all season. He tries very hard to do the best that he can. However, Dave Lewis has gotten to his head and has made him a little panzie. He does not stick up for his teammates, does not clear the front of the net, and does not show the emotion he use to in Ottawa. He use to be terrifying, and now that he is on the Bruin's, hes the jolly green giant. Brian Gionta(5'9"), of all people stood up to this guy, because he knew Chara would not do anything. Chara's image in this league is gone and giving him the captaincy is a huge question mark.

It always easy to target Chara because he' earning 7.5 per. But what would happend if this guy is fighting then loss for weeks? Probably there will be clown like Dale Arnold to say : What a stupid decision; now, he'S lost for 4 weeks. The fact is that Chara is not paid to fight. There's way too much grinders on this team who prefer to look elsewhere and hide in the toilets when things are heating up.

If you have to play the blame game then you have to look in that direction. Yes, Chara's leadership can be better. But i won't jump on him because he didn't fight since there was 4 other players on the ice who did nothing.

Yeah I agree. I don't think he should be the fighter, but if no one else is going to step up for the rookie then he has to. Obviously he is a very important part of this team, and it would suck to lose him to an injury, but he has to do something there because no one else on the team did.
