Looks like Chiarelli made offers to 2 high profile players. One made it clear that Boston isn't high on the list and the other was close to signing. He mentioned that Claude called the latter to sell him on the city. That leads me to believe the UFA close to signing could be Ryder since Claude and him are tight...

well peoples it looks like Hossa just wants money instead of winning a cup. It is reported he is close to signing with the oilers for some dump ass reason. Hell the Bruins right now could kick the living hell out of the oilers so why would hossa want to sign ther. They are not a contender!!!!!!!!!!
Think Hossa is not an option anymore according to PCs statement on the Bruins HP.

Now, on to Ryder, as I hope the rumors fro 11.3 for 7 yrs for Hossa are NOT true from Boston. Eklund is a boob.
TSN is reporting that the bruins signed Ryder to a 3 year deal!! Also looking around the web the Bruins are one of 3 teams that Hossa will sign with tomorrow!!!
Ryder is a Bruin..I guess 4 mil per is better than 11.3. Sucks that I spent 12hrs glued to the computer waiting for a Hossa signing
