The only thing I see is playoff experience and 250k less a year. Mara has better numbers and is 7 years younger then Ward. We should of at least got a pick with him.
And the Bruins need to make the playoffs to use the experience! I would have rather seen them get younger, even if a prospect was included. All in all, i'm unsure about this trade.
I agree, this trade was not a good one made by the Bruins. If Ward made a million less then it would be a good deal but he makes 2.75 million as a 5th defenseman. I would rather Mara than Ward on this one.
Brad Boyes has been traded to St. Louis. Not sure for what yet
