Youth or Experience?

I followed B's training camp since the very beginning and one thing hit me. The team has depth at the blue line. In fact, it looks like the team will have to face some very tough decisions regarding who will be in the roster at the beginning of the season.

York and Dempsey are experienced defenseman. They respectively have 708 and 203 NHL games under their belt. According to reports, they play very well. Still, it seems that Matt Lashoff and Jordan Sigalet are doing very good, which mean that a decision will have to be made. I always liked Lashoff for his speed and the good decisions he take in his own end. The new NHL is based on speed and, of course, veterans like Dempsey and York , but they are on their last leg. When I look at the blue line with Chara, Stuart and Mara, I think there is enough veterans to help Jurcina, Alberts and Lashoff to complete their development in the big league. It doesn't mean that Dempsey or York could be useless, it simply means that in this new era, where speed IS the difference, you might go in another direction then focusing on aging veterans. If a guy like Lashoff deserves to be on the team, he should have the spot. The only question here is, whether or not, guys like York or Dempsey will accept to be the 7th defenseman. Do we start the season with more veterans and keep Lashoff and Sigalet in Providence in case of an injury? Do we bring them later in the season? What about Mark Stuart, on the shelf right now, who showed great things last year. He will have his stint in Providencem, but after that?

We were all afraid of our defensive corps last year arguing that they were way too young. It was tough, indeed, and the result was ugly. This year, we found ourselves in another position where a competent front office give the team many options. Youth or experience? I'm willing to be in the line of fire, considering the talent at the blue line, and says...youth.

I disagree Latrappe. M Stuart is hurt, so he will be out for the beginning of the season. I don't think Lashoff is ready to a starter in the NHL. We may seem him up here at some point, but no time soon. As for Dempsey he is really a 8th defenseman, and York is the 7th. But York has played well and could take the role as 6th dman while M Stuart recovers.

Hey, It's Jason from The NHL Line.

I just wanted to clarify something.

First even if you did see the stuff on my site, you probably thought it was a good idea and really wanted it, therefore there is nothing wrong with you using some of the stuff we use. I, myself, gave Matt the site for the chat room (so he didn't copy us at all on that note).

Now, one thing did come to my attention when noticed of it, and that was the scoreboards. You said it is "impossible" to view each others template. No it is not, and you know that. You can click "View" then "Source" and it will give you access to the template. By matching up the 2, they are exactly the same, which is almost literally impossible, IF you are saying you did that for your self. There is various upon various different ways on creating a table, this one was supplied to me with little help, and I was able to fix it up nice.

Anyway, just thought I'd clarify that, but honestly, I could care less if you use these tables, it's not like hes matching everything the same anyway. And since these tables are basic HTML that anyone can create, it is not "stealing" or "copying".

Jason, I did not know that, but thank you for clarifying things, and if you really want I will take them off. I found the table codes on a site. I didn't see any harm, I apologize my any inconviences.

What? No, don't take them off at all. No need for that. Like i said, its not copying at all, its not like I create the HTML codes. It's fine, it adds some flare to the site.

I dont know why some people get mad for that. Lol. Good site anyways, keep up the good work.
