Wow. Team Russia is absolutely stacked for forwards. No Axelsson for team Sweden? Is Forsberg retired now or does he play in a different league?

ReplyDeleteNo, no Axelsson on my team. Team Sweden has a lot of depth so I don't think Axelsson will make it. I also did not include Michael Nylander, Fabian Brunnstrom, Alexander Steen, Fredrick Modin or Peter Forsberg. Forsberg, although retired from the NHL, has said he might try and give it a go for the Olympics, but I doubt that is possible. Markus Naslund who recently retired this past season, may also try and participate but that is also unlikely if he isn't playing regularly in Sweden

"russia is going to dominate" is always the reaction everyone has and when was the last time they won gold?
ReplyDeletesweden is beastly and will be canada's stiffest competition. russia's forwards are unbelievable but that D is pretty thin. finland does not look very strong at all for 2010, but their work ethic is like no other country.

i agree people always talk about russia, they have lots of skill but no heart, bunch of flashy forwards who cant play together. im glad we dont have any russians on the bruins.

Sabres: Tough team with guys like Kaleta and (occasionally) Peters.
Leafs: Full of goons trying to win the heart of Burke by playing unecessarily tough and dirty.
Sens: Any team with Chris Neil is dirty as hell.
Bruins: see: Lucic vs. Komisarek (plus a little Begin payback to the squad that dumped him)
Should be a good season! I really hope we deal with this Kessel shit prior to camp...holdouts really affect the rest of the team (remember the Raycrap/Boynton debacle?)
