For those video game fanatics (like me) out there, what would you rate the Bruins players? In recent games, I feel that some of the ratings are too low (Dennis Wideman being in the high 70s). I also am not a fan of the high 90s ratings, as players in the 90s should be elite. Having Mats Sundin be a 91 or whatever is stupid. Zdeno Chara is rated a 92 for this years game according to some screenshots of the game, and is the 5th highest ranked player in the game. Based on that, these would be my ratings plus potential for some of the younger guys.
Zdeno Chara........92
Tim Thomas.........91
Marc Savard........90
David Krejci.......86........A+
Phil Kessel........86........A
Dennis Wideman.....85
Marco Sturm........85
Michael Ryder......84
Milan Lucic........84........A
Blake Wheeler......84........A
Patrice Bergeron...83........B+
Mark Recchi........83
Chuck Kobasew......82
Mark Stuart........81
Aaron Ward.........80
Andrew Ference.....80
Matt Hunwick.......79........B+
Tuukka Rask........79........A+
Johnny Boychuk.....78........B-
Byron Bitz.........77........B-
Steve Begin........76
Shawn Thornton.....75

ReplyDeleteEkland has reported that the Bruins have a strong deal for Kessel just about in place.

ryder- 86
bergeron-80, b-
recchi-79
boychuk-74
I heard the Sharks would think about sending us Erhoff and Cheechoo for probably some kind of package. Looks like since Heatley didn't move and isn't expected to, Kessel becomes the guy every wants eh?
ReplyDeletelay off eklunds bologna sandwiches
ReplyDeletelol whether he's right or not, there's enough chatter that everyone's waiting with baited breath.
ReplyDeleteEkland has turned out to be wrong half the time, but he's usually sniffing in the right direction.
On a number of different sites, cbs sports ad fox sports, it has steve begin's number as #44. Does that mean Aaron Ward is out?
ReplyDeleteAnyways on bostonbruins.com he has no number yet. Plus doesn't Aaron Ward have a no trade clause???
ReplyDeletepretty sure ward doesnt have a ntc. that would be a horrible signing by chiarelli by giving a 35 year old a ntc.
ReplyDeletesome of those ratings are way too high. Recchi an 83? Maybe in 1995. Recchi is a 75 at best these days.
ReplyDeleteBegin would be about a 69.
Wideman around a 78.
Krejci looks good, but I'd give him an 80-82 right now with A potential.
Kessel would also be an 80-82, with high marks in all the speed/scoring attributes, but very low marks in strength/size/defensive attributes that would drag him down.
the herald says:
ReplyDeleteAccording to Bruins GM Peter Chiarelli, three NHL veterans already have contacted him about coming to September’s training camp on a tryout basis.
who could they be? i say al iafrate, gary leeman and zarley zlapski. these guys had high 80's ratings in nhlpa '93.
what?
by the way, summer sucks. blue jays baseball is garbage.
Eklund has no credibility what so ever, I can't believe people still post his rumors, in fact many of the top bloggers have already shot him full of holes and questione dhis credibility.
ReplyDeleteTim Thomas 91?
ReplyDelete91 for the softy he gave in OT, game 7?
Kessel to Montreal (E5)
ReplyDeleteKessel to Atlanta (E4.5)
